We are the “Kids Who Draw” more kids out to support a cause. When you put on an event you have to be able to draw out a crowd! At Kids Who Draw we use the music, fashion, film, and other art industries to draw people’s attentions by teaming them up with the many different causes out there.

Because we have created Kids Who Draw to be a community effort, we are always looking for people who have time, talent, finances, or anything else they are willing to donate to help us draw more people in to educate them about the various social causes that exist and help them get plugged in to the cause that best suits their passions and interests.

Our volunteer needs will change as we continue to grow as an organization, so we wanted to create this page to list all of the various areas we need help in right now. If you have any ideas of ways that you or your friends could help that aren’t on this page, feel free to contact us because we want to hear everyone’s ideas on how we can best serve our communities.

KIDS WHO DRAW TEAMS AND COMMITTEES:

MUSIC TEAM:
This committee will do extensive research on big and local bands with charitable past and future projects, coming up with interview questions, posting updated news on their charitable deeds, promoting charity shows, and spreading the word about great bands! This committee will have opportunities to meet the bands/musicians, interview them, and attend shows and festivals free!

FASHION COMMITTEE:
The Fashion Committee will be in charge of planning and organizing fashion show events, constantly looking for apparel and accessories that support/represent a cause (i.e., Falling Whistles, TOMS, etc,) coming up with ideas for our own apparel line, keeping a look out for local and big designers with charitable pasts and future projects, keeping our readers updated on Charitable Fashion Events, charity fashion news, and heavy merchandising on obtained products from our artists’ collaborations and donations. The Fashion Committee will get the opportunity to work with corporate companies, local and big designers when planning fashion shows and attending fashion sample sales, shows, networking events, etc.

KWD ARTS:
This team will focus on finding all kinds of artists that use their art to support or represent a cause. The KWD Arts Team will keep our readers informed on pieces being sold for charity, charity art shows, artists who have past and future charity projects under the belt, and are passionate about helping others using their art. The KWD Arts team will get the opportunity to attend great art showcases and galleries and will be able to meet many people in the artist community.

VIDEO TEAM:
Team focused on capturing great moments of KWD, interviews, events, video blogging, KWDTv, etc. Coming up with projects, ensuring important events are captured on camera, in charge of creating video presentations, and ensuring our vision is represented correctly. This team also will have the opportunity to meet musicians, artists and designers, have backstage access at some events, and will be able to gain more experience in video production.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMMITTEE:
Film and Digital! We will not turn away any artists who want to use their talents for a good cause. This committee will focus on capturing great moments of KWD, creating photo projects, being at all our events; working on promos for KWD and KWD related events. This team has very similar perks to the music, fashion and video teams.

CAMPUS TEAMS:
Committee focused on spreading the word, informing and recruiting other students from their college campuses about KWD and our mission. Possibly to start campus clubs, Get KWD News on the school newsletters, specifically street team for each campus.

RECRUIT TEAM:
Main focus of the recruit team is to RECRUIT volunteers! Via social networking, fliers, questionnaires, creating volunteer forms, orientations, informing new volunteers of what we are about, etc and finding volunteers for current causes and KWD upcoming events. This team will focus on finding like-minded people who share our vision.

STREET TEAM:
Group committed to spreading the word everywhere and anywhere, passing out fliers, posting fliers, working together to help promote KWD and its current causes and upcoming events. This team must be well informed of what KWD is committed to.

MARKETING TEAM:
Team that can come up with ways to market our current causes/upcoming events/KWD in general within KWD budget. Can make Power Point presentations for meetings, and can execute their ideas for promoting KWD. This team will be very important and may be made up of several people from all our teams.

FUND RAISING TEAM:
Group of mainly involved persons of current fundraiser, but also consisting of a set team who focuses on coming up with fundraising ideas, can reach out to specific vendors/organizations and plan fundraisers for our current causes and local families.

COORDINATING:
The goal of the coordinating team is to unite all committees and delegate tasks amongst each of them while keeping all committees accountable of their duties. This team will be made up of the team leaders of each committee.
